Dear Panalbans,

It has been a while since you received a newsletter from Panalba and we hope that this will prompt you to re-visit the site. In the year since the Gathering 2009, we have given a lot of thought as to how best to proceed with Panalba, and we would like to hear from you on the subject. Panalba was designed as an international site for all those who love Scotland, and we are keen to see this continue with a far more active use of our forums and groups.

It is still our aim to deliver a rich and varied source of content on Scotland’s heritage, and we have recruited Roddy Martine, associate editor of Scotland Magazine, to help us deliver this important aspect of the site. Over the next few weeks we will be posting a series of articles ranging from the questionable poetic talent of William McGonagall to the internationally acclaimed designer, Charles Rennie Macintosh, from luxuriant stately gardens to lonely lighthouses on our rugged coastline. We will be introducing book reviews and later in the year, challenging you to enter an on-line competition. We will continue to answer your questions and are happy to make recommendations to those of you who are planning a visit to Scotland.

Ultimately this is your site and we will be guided by your interests. To help us achieve this, we will be asking you to complete a research questionnaire which we will be sending out details of in the near future. Your input will be greatly appreciated.

To thank you for your ongoing support, we are therefore offering you a Free Copy of Scotland Magazine.

Thanks for all your support.

Jamie Sempill

Calendar

Please submit events, such as Highland Games, Celtic Music Festivals, Whisky Tastings, Piping Competitions, Clan Gatherings, and any other occasion that you feel would be of interest to the members.

Clan and Family Societies and other Scottish Interest Groups

The site has a very effective Group Section. In the run up to the Gathering 2009, a number of Clans and Families posted information on their forthcoming itineraries and activities. With an international network to call upon, Panalba is in a position to provide Clan and Family societies with the ultimate vehicle to promote their own activities worldwide, or to comment on matters of interest to the various groups to which they belong.

Advertising

To maintain and build Panalba, it is essential that we generate income to cover our overheads, and the simplest way to achieve this is through advertising support.

We would therefore like to remind members who would be interested in advertising their products on the site, or in this newsletter that we offer some great advertising packages. Please contact us at advertising@panalba.com for details.
